Geoff Billington Since the retirement of his Sydney Olympic partner 'It’s Otto' Geoff has been bringing on a new string of young horses. Geoff has recently had first and second places in the A & B Grand Prix at Rowallan Activity Centre in Scotland with Pedro VI and Cassabachus. 'I have agreed to be one of the patrons for Olivers Army and I feel very humbled to have been asked. Ollie was a very talented young man who fell in love with showjumping at a very early age, as I once did. I was lucky enough to fulfill my dream. Unfortunately, Ollie didn't get the chance. His life got taken by this terrible disease, and who knows, he could have been a future Olympic champion.' |

Ellen Whitaker Ellen, the country’s leading lady rider, has kindly accepted our invitation to become a Patron of Olivers Army. 'Ollie had a tremendous amount of success in the showjumping world on a pony called Get Ready Freddie, who he formed a wonderful relationship with. Freddie previously being my top pony ride, i know exactly what a fiery little character he is, which seemed to suit Ollie perfectly. Even when Ollie became too ill to ride Freddie, they never lost that amazing relationship. That's the memory i have of Ollie, a talented young horseman devastatingly torn from his dream by this terrible disease. I am truly honoured to be a patron for Olivers Army.' |
